Persons will develop an understanding of the role of lack of meaning, identity, and validation in addiction. The 5D’s of distance, disillusionment, duality, disillusionment, and denial. The lecture will explore painful experience, co-dependency, and suppression of feelings. There will be shared ways of building resilience, creating meaning and purpose, forging of community, understanding experience, addressing difficult emotions, and overcoming.
